5 Places to Get Knit Shorts

If you saw my Fall wish list post, then you know that I have been into knit shorts. I finally got a pair of my own from Asos, so I wanted to share a few more places that you can get a pair of your own. What I like about them is not only are they comfortable, but they are pretty flattering as well if you get the right size and shape. They are another great transition piece and I think they are pretty easy to style especially when you are lounging at home.

What’s your Go-To Fall piece?

Where to Shop

Asos : This is where I got my shorts

Skims : I also have the boxer briefs from Skims and they are so comfy and easy to lounge in

Denim Round-Up

Denim, a classic. If I am being honest I seriously think a Canadian tuxedo can be super chic when done right. Doing it right is why I wanted to write this post. It is not always about the price tag that makes or breaks denim. It’s the wash and the fit, and more importantly how it fits on you. You don’t want it to hit at your ankles if you’re tall, and a good flare is great for slimming. But if you want to look more polished, I personally go for a darker wash, and never over wash your jeans.

My Favorite places to shop denim

Revice : I only have one pair of pants from here but I absolutely love them! They are stylist and I like the straight leg fit. This is a great place to get jeans that are more fun

Paige : I love the light, sleek look of their denim. The skinny fits look more polished and for a shorter girl like me they fit well

Zara :  Their straight leg jeans are to dieee for and I also love the baggy pairs too, definitely a must for a cool and comfy pair

Levi’s  : For that classic look you need a classic pair. Definitely make sure they are comfortable when you get them though because they tend to have little stretch. Most of my shorts are Levi’s.

Thrift Shops : For a cool pair of jeans or a really good denim jacket, go to the thrift shop, I love to search for oversized jean jackets when I go because there is so much you can do with it

POLL RESULTS : I took a poll on my Instagram to see where my followers like to get their denim.. here is what they said

American Eagle : Great for a casual look and a light wash, definitely great if you want comfort

Gap : I’ve honestly never tried but I feel that would have a great classic pair

Levis, Zara, H&M : Trendy and great price points for what you are getting, respectively

Topshop : Another great one, especially for girls that are shorter or curvy

Thrift shops : for some “gems”

5 of My Holy Grail Beauty Products

There are a few different products that I always go back to or use religiously. I wanted to share a few of them and why I go back to them every time. To check out my beauty wish list click HERE

What are a few of your go-to beauty products?

This Scar Gel just got added to my list as I just began to try it out. I used to use Neosporin when I thought I was starting to form an acne scar, but when I tried this it took it away in a day! I always catch them before they turn into scars so that may make a difference too when using the product.

I am honestly skeptical when it comes to nail and hair enhancers. I just try to be as natural as possible and I do not take supplements for this, but when I got this serum my friend told me I had to try and let me tell you, my lashes have never been longer.

Lash primer just sounds like an extra coat of mascara, right? Wrong. This one makes a huge difference no matter what mascara I layer it with. It always adds length and volume.

This Sephora liquid eyeliner is the best! I hate the felt tip liquid liners, but this one has a brush tip which makes it super easy to have a sharp wing. I tried another brand before and it just did not compare in my book.

This setting spray has gotten me through very long nights and unlike others that I have tried, it does not bring out the creases in my makeup when it settles. Definitely a steal.

25 Things I’ve Learned in 25 Years of Life

Transition Season

One of my favorite parts of the year is when it starts getting a bit cooler because I love the beginning of Fall. Fall and Spring just sound amazing to me because the weather doesn’t seem to be too harsh and there are so many activities to do. The hard part can be transitioning your wardrobe to match the weather. I like to stick to the basics since they are my go-to anyway. I’m showing off a few of my favorite transition looks below.

What are you wearing this transition season?

An easy way to escape wearing something warmer in the morning and sweating by noon is to bring a casual sweater. I liked the trend where girls would tie their sweaters across their bodies for a cooler look. This may be last year’s trend but I still see it here and there.

If you have seen my youtube video on how to make your own knit arm warmer you are familiar with this one. I love it because its comfy, cozy and easy to throw over a simple tank. Another easy and definitely trendy way to battle transition season.

Talking style with Cara Gordon @Cara_Gordon

“My background is in editorial, I feel like fashion in general is changing and there used to be a certain way to sell clothes in an editorial and I love an editorial for creative sake.. there is a little bit more of an avantegarde twist. Celebrity (style) is more of where we are going (in contrast to editorial).”

Talking Lifestyle with Janelle @janellemacandile

“There are so many products I swear by, one of the best tips I could ever give is to use your sunscreen. Don’t forget to include your neck and hands because you see your signs of aging there too.”

Tik Tok Tips with Labels with lattes @labelswithlattes

“Posting every single day, 3-4 times a day, following trends, using popular hashtags and select sounds that are popular and trending”

Fashion and Biology with Shelly @shellycakess

“Every field studies class we had a trip where we would stay out in nature.. there was no restrooms, it was rual, no signal and my tent got flooded. It was knarly but I loved it.”

Talking Makeup Tips from Tik Tok with Priscilla @priscillavv

“Beauty techniques have enhanced my overall way of putting on makeup. There is always a good three that I have in my everyday routine”

Fashion PR with Stella @xostellarose

“You meet people everywhere you go, you meet people who are important and important to your journey, I think that is so key. When I was in London I volunteered at Fashion week and I ended up in a cab with the founder of the PR firm.

Talking influencing with Martha @martis.raya

“I was going through a rough time in my life, (taking pictures) kept me busy and eventually I noticed my following was growing and companies were reaching out to me.”
