There are a few different products that I always go back to or use religiously. I wanted to share a few of them and why I go back to them every time. To check out my beauty wish list click HERE
What are a few of your go-to beauty products?
This Scar Gel just got added to my list as I just began to try it out. I used to use Neosporin when I thought I was starting to form an acne scar, but when I tried this it took it away in a day! I always catch them before they turn into scars so that may make a difference too when using the product.
I am honestly skeptical when it comes to nail and hair enhancers. I just try to be as natural as possible and I do not take supplements for this, but when I got this serum my friend told me I had to try and let me tell you, my lashes have never been longer.
Lash primer just sounds like an extra coat of mascara, right? Wrong. This one makes a huge difference no matter what mascara I layer it with. It always adds length and volume.
This Sephora liquid eyeliner is the best! I hate the felt tip liquid liners, but this one has a brush tip which makes it super easy to have a sharp wing. I tried another brand before and it just did not compare in my book.
This setting spray has gotten me through very long nights and unlike others that I have tried, it does not bring out the creases in my makeup when it settles. Definitely a steal.
In remembrance of 9/11 and in acknowledgment of all of the chaos that is currently in the world, I wanted to do a Friday Faves that is uplifting and allows for spreading the good. I recommend that you also do one kind thing for another person today and try to make it a goal to do so daily.

I recently listened to an IG LIVE with Lauryn Evarts-Bosstick from The Skinny Confidential and Mona Vand on wellness. Now, these two are probably the queens of wellness. I wanted to share a few of their tips from the talk and touch on a few wellness points of my own that I have tried to incorporate in my routine.
I think what works for one person of course isn’t going to work for everyone, but there are a few things that do help a majority of people. As Lauryn said, “you’re your own guinea pig”. I think that really resonated with me especially when I form my skincare/workout/eating routine. I try to find that perfect combination that works for me.
Another point that Mona mentioned that stuck out to me was that one of her biggest wellness tips was to eat real food. I have actually read something on this a while back and if you think about it, it makes SO much sense. Cutting out processed foods and foods that come in boxes and packages just don’t seem as healthy as fresh fruits and veggies. Try limiting your intake of food that comes from a package and shop fresher options. You will probably eat more but feel better.
Rose Nectar : add a drop in your water for or use as a toner for soothing skin redness and irritation

I have to start off my Friday Faves with the new Fenty Skin collection. I am a big fan of the makeup line and Rihana’s attention to diversity and detail. I listened to a podcast by The Fat Mascara and I trust their judgment; I also really want to try the SPF moisturizer because I was just thinking the other day that I need a new one that acts as a good primer. Also, a Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum? YES PLEASE. You had me at the name, sign me up.

I read recently that Beauty Influencers are becoming a thing. While I definitely have more of an interest in the fashion industry, I think it is super important to cater to your audience. So I decided to add a hint of beauty into the blog. Instead of sugar, spice, and everything nice, think oversized satchels, printed midi skirts, and a hint of facial rejuvenating serum.
There has always been a beauty wishlist up on my blog page to see what I am currently swooning over, but I’ve started being more interactive on the beauty front on my Instagram stories to share any new findings as far as beauty products.
One product I recently shared was a BHA liquid exfoliant from Paula’s Choice. I had received a sample from an event I attended and I finally got around to trying it and I loved it! My pores shrunk and I now dab it on my face a few times a week along with a peptide booster with amino acid complex.
Here are the results from my recent Beauty Polls
If I am being honest, I never really wore sunscreen unless I was going for a long day at the beach, but now I try to wear it every day on my face and hands. I also drink a ton more water because I can really see the difference overall. The sunscreen also helps keep my face a similar shade so I do not have to change my foundation as often.
I tend to make my nighttime routine longer too because I like to let my products really set in. In the morning I do a light wash and put on a light face cream with SPF in it before a workout. Afterward, I wash my face for one minute as advised by LaBeautyologist then I add my toner from Kopari and apply sunscreen/facial cream. Nighttime tends to be similar but instead has the liquid exfoliant and peptide booster or serum to go under my cream.
To really get a good clean face sometimes I do a “double wash” so I will use my wipes and then wash my face or I use micellar water and then wash my face, again for one minute. I know you don’t really HAVE to but that’s what makes me feel the cleanest.

I just watched a fireside talk from Create and Cultivate on Clean Beauty and was inspired. I definitely have heard a lot about these points before, but I liked hearing about the specific reasons that clean beauty is so important. The term “clean beauty” refers to the non-toxic ingredients that are used in beauty products. This includes being sustainably sourced and more eco-friendly for the environment. Many household brand names are not in the clean beauty category, however, there are many that are at least taking the right steps toward that change.
The Create and Cultivate panel included Steph Shep, co-founder of Future Earth; Katie Matthews, Chief Scientist at Oceana; and Catherine Gore, President of Biossance.
“The Climate Crisis has the worst PR” -Steph Shep
One fact that stood out to me was that the United States only bans about 30 harmful ingredients in our products while other countries ban over 100.
“You have to be that much more focused and evaluate ingredient labels” -Catherine Gore, President of Biossance
You can still have amazing skin and be clean. I think that a huge step is to not buy these products in hopes that enough people will join and switch up their buying habits. But we also need to voice the opinion and vote to change the ingredients allowed in our products. Lastly, we need to encourage younger generations to be interested in learning how to create cleaner options in the first place.
I have also been on my stories lately sharing different tidbits about my new skin routine such as using a liquid exfoliant and applying sunscreen daily. Here is a list of some clean beauty products to try next time you are out shopping. All of these brands can actually be purchased at Sephora. I am a big supporter of Sephora because they have amazing brands, are dedicated to clean beauty, and also show their support for the BLM movement.
So I finally got a mini beauty fridge (thanks Easter Bunny)! I did not want to fill it with all of my products as they would not all fit, so I put a few of the ones that I use the most.
Here are the products listed:
- Eye Mask : gotta keep these cool so they can work their very best and depuff the area around your skin
- Lip Mask : same goes for this one, these keep your lips plump, but I think mostly its just a self-care patch to apply anywhere on your face that needs to depuff
- Bye Bye Undereye Cream : This is one of my favorite products since I feel like my dark circles are so prominent
- Exfoliating energy facial with enzymes : Youth to the People created this mask that I have been trying a few times a week and I love it! I am still testing it out in my mini-fridge
- Jade Roller : I have heard mixed things about jade rollers and recently it’s not very good, but for a quick depuff in the morning it actually works for me
- Firming Mask : Kiehl’s ginger left and hibiscus firming mask just feels better when it is cooler and makes my skin feel rejuvenated
What areyour go-to beauty products?
The thing I love about LA is there is always a pop-up or something fun around the corner. I work nearby a building where there are frequent pop-ups. I have seen Lulu’s, gym shark and now Gucci take vacancy in the space.
Gucci’s pop-up I actually would have had no idea about! But we stumbled upon it and my co-worker found out it is open to the public. It was a photo op experience, which I had no idea about until I got inside. I remember the door man telling us the tags for all of the pictures we take and I said, oh I won’t be taking pictures because I don’t look great, I just came from work. He probably thought, “well she’s in the wrong place”.
Luckily they had beauty touch ups with their new lipsticks and mascara so the photos did not come out absolutely terrible.. however if I had known it was a photo op I definitely would have prepared a bit more!
I love the color of the lipstick the I tried, it was a rusty colored red and let me tell you, the mascara is EVERYTHING! Not going to lie, I didn’t think that mascara’s were too different other than the brushes that were used. BUT, the best mascara’s I have ever used on their own have been Chanel and now Gucci. I definitely would recommend as they are super splurge worthy.
All in all, I am so happy I went and I would say wherever you are based to check out the places that are always right under your nose.
I started reading three articles a day over the holiday break. Most days I read only 1 or 2 but I always shot to read at least three. I never really use my twitter but I decided to start using it for finding articles to check out regarding fashion, celebrities, beauty, and trends.
Social media is always a tricky one as there are so many things it can be used for; showing off, investigating, news, etc. I choose to use each platform differently, and until now, I never really had a purpose for going on twitter every day. I use the discover page to learn about news in general as well as find out more about big breaking stories in the media. I always scroll all the way down to fashion and beauty and the bigger publications have their most recent stories posted.
