This year has truly gone by so fast! I love watching the end of the year commercials because they wrap up everything that has happened! I always try to plan out who I’m spending my NYE with thinking that’s who I am going to be closest with in the coming year. What I realized this year is that it’s just another fun holiday and that does not mean anything. So while I am going to spend it with my friends, I am not going to put too much pressure on it!

What I am doing is getting dressed up and going out. I love getting dressed up and being able to go out with a big group of friends is my favorite! I thought of a few tips I wanted to share incase you’re going out this NYE!
- Long lasting lip stain is the way to go! Obvious, but for a special night like this, better safe than sorry
- Find my friends is my savior! There is always someone walking off when you are in a big group, so make sure you all have each other’s location for the night!
- Bring sparklers! NYE pictures are not the same without them!
- Go all out in what you’re wearing since it’s New Year’s! But, make sure that you are still comfortable enough to enjoy the night!
Here’s another cute outfit for inspiration, the more sparkle the better!
Thank you for a great blog year, I cannot wait to share even more blog posts, outfits and inspiration this coming year!
I cannot believe Christmas is already over! It has such a huge build up and the day after I am always wondering how it went by so fast! Unfortunately I was sick this Christmas and it took a lot for me to get up and ready to visit with everyone. Regardless, it was a fun year getting to open presents with everyone and seeing some family. Now I cannot wait for New Years and to show off my NYE look!
I was lucky enough to receive almost everything off of my wish list which included this vest! (See the items still up on my wish list tab) I adore the big plaid print and the black and white are just really great classic colors for the cooler season. I love how it folds over in the front and I knew it would be a great excuse to bring out my thigh highs.
I had a few different outfit ideas for this vest, and I struggled with whether I should wear this vest or one of the others I just received this year. I think I am going to make a new post on styling the various types of vests and what they look best with. For example, this vest flares out in an A-line shape at the bottom which gives off the illusion of some curves. I could definitely use that with this outfit especially since the dress alone clings so tightly to me.

It’s Christmas Eve and I cannot wait for tomorrow. Honestly I think I like Christmas Eve better because of all of the anticipation and build up of tomorrow. Seeing all of the presents under the tree is even more fun than opening them sometimes! If you’re anything like me you have no idea what you’re going to wear tomorrow! I am showing off my main choice for some last minute inspiration before tomorrow!
Before I get to the outfit, I wanted to take a second to remind that the meaning of the season really is the birth of Jesus. This holiday is truly filled with nothing but joy. Easter is great but we are reminded of Jesus’s death, and this holiday is full of celebration of just His coming. My favorite part of Christmas is the music. Listening to the words of my favorite songs like ‘Do You See What I See‘ and ‘Mary Did You Know‘ are the best part because they really remind why we are celebrating. While Santa is such a fun tradition, giving and thinking about why we get off to celebrate Christmas is the best thing.

Its that type of post again where I share some of my most recently favorites of the moment. From cozy socks to some new podcast episodes you have to listen too, I included a few new faves as well as their links! Don’t forget to subscribe on the right side of the blog’s main page, and follow my Pinterest for all of my pictures and pins!
My favorite podcast of the moment is the Lady Gang. I would listen to this when walking across campus during school and I had to keep from laughing to myself! These ladies are so entertaining and aren’t afraid to spill their real lives. This episode in particular with Jenna Fischer is really inspiring since she talks about how as an actress you have to just keep going despite the rejection. Here’s a link to their Instagram!
I’ve definitely noticed my sock collection grow this year, and while I have a few pairs of Free People socks, this pair is my favorite! Cozy and warm, but still giving your feet some air to breathe, these are cute and comfy I wear them constantly around the house!
While I have not bought this YSL bag, it is closing in on one of my top wants of the moment! It’s a huge splurge and I am just not sure I want it that bad. However, it is my splurge of the moment! Another one of my current favorites that I like to look at but do not plan on buying due me thinking it is a trend is this Prada bag. I’m sure there will be plenty of dupes coming soon!
While I do not usually use drug store brands for my face, I was given a sample of this moisturizer at the last blog conference I attended. I tried it out and I seriously love it! I am always skeptical about moisturizing my face because I already have clear skin, but I always use some during the colder months. This product did NOT make my face oily, even in my T-Zone, and made my skin soft and feels protected! I so recommend & I actually use it daily!
One of my favorite sites to check out is Who What Wear. From great fashion advice to celebrity gossip, it’s all there in short articles that are easy to read and keep you interested without being long and overbearing! HERE is my favorite article at the moment. (Picture taken from the article)
The last days of fall are upon us and before winter comes I wanted to wear a few skirts before another cold front comes. Days before I took these pictures in the beautiful weather it was snowing in Texas! Definitely crazy and oh so beautiful!
It’s easy to style a feminine look especially with a skirt and some heeled booties. Showing off your legs with a heeled shoe really elongates the legs and puts emphasis on your calves. I also think the sweater is a great feminine color because it is like a muted purple. Light pinks and purples are great colors to wear for a more girly look. Another easy way to make an outfit more girly is to wear a statement jewelry piece like a pair of tassel earrings or a collared necklace. Lastly, curled hair and a bright lip goes a long way! Styling up you best features are definitely the way to go!
I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with these shoes! I love the way they look with the ripped sweater!

Layers are definitely the way to my heart this season. One of my favorite materials is definitely leather. From my black leather skirt to this nude leather jacket, leather is definitely the perfect layer. I love the fold over of the jacket and how easy it is to throw on for a day outfit or a night outfit. This piece can definitely be worn with all white, black jeans, or even a LBD.
The color is perfect because the nude goes with almost any color and is not over bearing. The inside of the folds are a suede material and really compliments the outside leather. I would definitely pair this look with a pair of cute reflective sun glasses to really make this whole look super chic. I would never really wear white on white with this much nude but I liked how the jacket has just enough pink to add a little color. The lace also adds a little something to the outfit especially because it balances out the leather with a little lace.

Christmas is right around the corner! Give the perfect gift to the college girl in your life because we all need a little extra loving this Christmas. Whether it is for your best friend or yourself, here are a few ideas wrapped into one gift guide! Half the time we are hungry, stressed, and tired, but we love going home for a break to see family and friends. Here’s a quick guide for something to get your favorite college girl and buy them items they will actually want and use daily.
All items are under $50, well all under $30 and one super cute item at $50. But are all items that some of my girlfriends actually asked for this Christmas. Change up the color of the cardigan or the style of the planner to match her personality, and you have a great gift that is meaningful and useful.
Old Navy Thermal Sleep Leggings – $20
Francesca’s Donut Trinket Dish – $15
Anthropologie Marble Planner – $30
Kendra Scott Nail Lacquer – $16
Forever 21 Boucle Knit Sweater – $25
Kate Spade Card Holder – $50
Sigma Curved Kabuki Brush – $25
Target SugarFix by Bauble Bar Earrings : $13
Forever wishing that it got just a little bit colder here in Texas! I almost envy watching other bloggers be able to bundle up in their layers of coats and cardigans just to go out for some coffee. While it does get a bit chilly, it never even snows which is a complete bummer! Sitting by a fire is definitely one of my favorite things to do during the holiday season.
Sweaters are always my go-to for the cooler seasons because they are easy to throw on. A sweater with a great material can dress up any outfit, and paired with the right skirt can turn a daytime look into a night out outfit. I paired this sweater with white jeans (yes I know it is after labor day!) and tied the front even though it is a high low sweater to give me more shape. I wore it to a Christmas lighting and I kept with the brown and wore my favorite brown booties.
Even though I cannot buy many thick coats or jackets, a sweater is always my go-to. Here are a few sweaters on my list of favorites, all under $45!
Francesca’s : $44 Basic Gray
Target : $25 Turtle Neck
Tobi : $27 Flared Sleeve
Romwe : $28 Cable Knit
American Eagle : $27 Stripes
Christmas Season has officially begun! TBH I have been wanting to celebrate since after Halloween. However, I am finally getting to see all of the lights and Christmas trees everywhere and that makes me so happy. Christmas music is my absolute favorite! Not like jingle bells but like the religious Christmas songs are my favorite like “Silent Night” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Being reminded of the reason for the season definitely makes it all worth it.
If you’re like me, a college student going home for the break, you get a little bored being home for an entire month. Even if you’re not like me I wanted to include a list of holiday things to do over the break to keep you in the mood all break long. I listed some of my favorite things to do as well as favorite treats to eat below!
