Instagram Round Up

Do you ever put on an outfit and you just really want to show it off? Well, I do. I love getting outfit inspiration and it makes me excited when I get to post them. I also have days where I post and I am not feeling an outfit or it just isn’t what I thought it would look like in my head. Here’s a round-up of some of my recent favorite Instagram (briana.nicole03) outfits.

Which is your favorite?

Honestly, this outfit wasn’t exactly one of my favorites. I really did need something to shoot and I quickly threw this together which I never do unless I am desperate. What really made this look turn around was that I added the chunky necklace and I loved my hair.

Crop Top : Glassons // Pants : Forever 21

I was actually in loveee with this outfit. The whole look is from Pretty Little Thing and I really loved how they styled this shirt dress with a belt so I opted for one of these extra long belts to really make it my statement piece. I think that is really what makes an outfit is a focal point for the eye.

Shirt Dress : PLT // Belt : PLT

I had really been wanting a pair of pleather shorts and I initially thought that this blazer would be a more structured material but as soon as I put it on I loved it and it did look the same as it did on the model.

Shorts : PLT // Blazer : PLT

I saw another influencer wear these pants on Instagram (I forgot who it was or I would have tagged them) and I had to have a pair! Honestly they are so fun and I just wanted to live in this outfit. This is a good example of playing with dimensions. I love how the pants are a bit baggy and the top is very tight to my upper half.

Top : Princess Polly // Pants : SheIn

Princess Polly Discount Code : ‘Briana’ for 20% off

This look is my neutral dream and gave me tropical vibes! I love the subtle mix of fabrics that perfectly compliment each other because of their color. These pants are so soft and another pair I can definitely just live in if I could.

Places to Shop that I Haven’t Tried (YET)

If you were to look at my phone notes and camera roll you would see all of my inspiration and take a peek into how my mind works. I try to keep it as organized as possible but it does usually look like a jumbled mess. I was going through my notes and thought I would share a few of the places that I have really been wanting to purchase from. I’ve stumbled upon a few of these places on Instagram or through different social media platforms. I wanted to be sure to mention I HAVE NOT purchased from these places before so I cannot tell any pros or cons, only that I like what I see for face value. As always, to directly shop the item click on the picture.

Leave me a comment and let me know which is your favorite

CIDER : I love the fun, colorful vibe! It reminds me of Tik Tok style! The pieces are also really inexpensive for how adorable they are.

Lisa Says Gah : This one reminds me of a vintage, boho style almost. I really love this one and I have been wanting to shop but it can be a bit pricey which is the only reason I am thinking over my purchase carefully~

Ruve : The cool neutrals with cut-outs and different details are so my style! I will probably watch a few youtube reviews before I buy but I am loving the products. The first images almost gives me off-white vibes.

Urban Gap : These pieces are SO trendy I almost placed an order while writing this post. Also, they had me at ‘For Girls by Girls’

Static Nails : This one is for all the beauty gurus out there. I know nail art has really been trending and since we should all be super-mindful about the places we go I thought I would also mention this website I found that has super fun press ons. Again, I’ve yet to try but I am eager too

2020 Round Up

2020 has not been one of the best years but it is one that people will remember. I wanted to take a look back at a few of my favorite outfits and reflect on the trends that we have seen come and go. I love being able to reflect back on a single topic and see how much growth and development has come even if it is just in terms of the material we put on our bodies.

What has been one of your favorite fashion trends this year?

I found this skirt at Wasteland on Melrose and I was so excited to wear it to Coachella. I’m still so sad it did not happen, but I loved this look so much I made it my profile pictures on multiple platforms

#STAYATHOMEFASHION was thriving and I loved partaking in the trend where you dress up your comforter for fun

One of my very first shoots outside since quarantine first began, the trench is from Nastygal

I took this shot the same day as the one above and it was at the same location just a few steps away. I fell in love with these Zara pants

My first shoot back home, I remember when this top was trending and I loved it and could not wait to wear it out

This was one of my first shooting behind target, I have since loved the aesthetic, and I actually painted the back of this oversized blazer you can see HERE

Headscarves were IT for me! When I first took these pictures I fell in love and I thought this was the best thing ever! I still love them but really it was just a good trend!

This outfit was one of my favorite collaborations because it had so many features with a smaller brand and I love to support

I still am in love with this Princess Polly look and this dress is just so flattering! Another one of my favorite collaborations

This look was a hit because of the jacket which was actually my grandma’s so it’s vintage which makes me love it even more!

I had to show off one of the tops I made since I started learning how to sew this year. It did not come out exactly how I wanted but I’m glad it’s something that I am working on continuously.

Thank you for all of the support and comments over this year! Wishing you and your family a Happy Holidays!

Denim Round-Up

Denim, a classic. If I am being honest I seriously think a Canadian tuxedo can be super chic when done right. Doing it right is why I wanted to write this post. It is not always about the price tag that makes or breaks denim. It’s the wash and the fit, and more importantly how it fits on you. You don’t want it to hit at your ankles if you’re tall, and a good flare is great for slimming. But if you want to look more polished, I personally go for a darker wash, and never over wash your jeans.

My Favorite places to shop denim

Revice : I only have one pair of pants from here but I absolutely love them! They are stylist and I like the straight leg fit. This is a great place to get jeans that are more fun

Paige : I love the light, sleek look of their denim. The skinny fits look more polished and for a shorter girl like me they fit well

Zara :  Their straight leg jeans are to dieee for and I also love the baggy pairs too, definitely a must for a cool and comfy pair

Levi’s  : For that classic look you need a classic pair. Definitely make sure they are comfortable when you get them though because they tend to have little stretch. Most of my shorts are Levi’s.

Thrift Shops : For a cool pair of jeans or a really good denim jacket, go to the thrift shop, I love to search for oversized jean jackets when I go because there is so much you can do with it

POLL RESULTS : I took a poll on my Instagram to see where my followers like to get their denim.. here is what they said

American Eagle : Great for a casual look and a light wash, definitely great if you want comfort

Gap : I’ve honestly never tried but I feel that would have a great classic pair

Levis, Zara, H&M : Trendy and great price points for what you are getting, respectively

Topshop : Another great one, especially for girls that are shorter or curvy

Thrift shops : for some “gems”

Friday Faves

In remembrance of 9/11 and in acknowledgment of all of the chaos that is currently in the world, I wanted to do a Friday Faves that is uplifting and allows for spreading the good. I recommend that you also do one kind thing for another person today and try to make it a goal to do so daily.

Friday Faves

I have to start off my Friday Faves with the new Fenty Skin collection. I am a big fan of the makeup line and Rihana’s attention to diversity and detail. I listened to a podcast by The Fat Mascara and I trust their judgment; I also really want to try the SPF moisturizer because I was just thinking the other day that I need a new one that acts as a good primer. Also, a Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum? YES PLEASE. You had me at the name, sign me up.

Instagram Round Up

For any content creators, I always would recommend being posting to multiple platforms. Not only is this good for growth, but at any point, your content can be taken down for any reason. You could be hacked or it may not comply with guidelines, or the platform might not even exist anymore (I’m looking at you Tik Tok). So to keep up with that mentality, I thought I would do a quick round-up from my latest Instagram posts with the clothing linked below. A lot of these items can also be found styled in my latest Youtube videos.

Dress : Princess Polly // Socks : (similar) // Purse : SheIn

Top : Pretty Little Thing // Pants : NastyGal
