I am so excited to collaborate with Princess Polly! I received a few more pieces as well that I will be sharing as well. I just happened to love the top and shorts separately but when I received them I knew they would go well together.
I love Australian brands and Princess Polly is one of my favorite collabs to date! Like Showpo and Lulu’s, I always wear pieces from here and I was excited to collab. I didn’t write a review as this is another brand that I believe in and actually enjoy buying from.
I love the lace-up details on the shorts and this top is so flowy and fun. The lace and oversized sleeves are great details without being overboard. Also, the top is a bit oversized which accentuates my frame.
The top is from Jagger and Stone, which is a brand I have come to love! Such a killer vibe and I love following the founders on Instagram. Princess Polly always has a great style so I am so glad they carry such killer brands.
Where to Wear : I wore this look for a day with my friend Gina. We hung out and took pictures as well as went out for dinner so I would say this would be a great weekend look for fall.
Where would you wear this look?

I was so lucky to have been able to attend the Teen Vogue Summit this weekend and let me tell you it was amazing! While there were a few critiques that I heard, I would still give it Five stars and attend next year.
A few of the critiques included adding better signage and getting information out to the mass of people in a more effective manner. However, this was not really much of an issue for me. I also would say that numerous girls commented that they were disappointed that they were not able to attend everything that they wanted due to overlap. While I do agree that this sucks, I know that this is a common tactic for conferences to split up the crowds.
I did not get to attend Day One but I hear it was AMAZING!
As for Day Two, I had a green pass which meant that I was only able to see limited shows. I did not know this or I would have thought about getting a different pass. We were able to have our own workshops which I was still happy about! What I was not excited about was sitting in a room watching the panels on screen when it was overfilled. I wish that they would have let us know that sooner. I would never want to knock Teen Vogue though because I was so lucky to have even attended and I learned SO MUCH and would do it all over again of course!
There were such amazing partnerships and topics at the summit from Feminism, women’s empowerment, transgender acceptance, environmental/sustainability and more. It truly was an amazing experience and their line up included Zara Larsson, Busy Phillips, Demi Lovato, Miranda Cosgrove, Aimee Song, and so much more!
Day Three was self-care day and let me tell you I felt the self-care! Brunch was amazing from healthy Acai bowls (add that peanut butter girl! I learned that at the summit!) to yogurt and breakfast burritos. Before brunch was a quick work out with Katrina from Tone It Up! She was so inspiring and positive I loved it! I also was able to get a facial and my hair done. There were other services as well such as manicures and massages.
Guys, I can go on and on but to sum it up, it was such an amazing experience I cannot wait for next year!

Every once in awhile I like to share my Friday Faves but I thought I would mix it up a bit and share some interesting links that I found on the internet!
The internet is a HUGE place! I don’t really think we get that (well at least I don’t) since I don’t know anyone that ever goes to the second page when you search something on Google! What are your favorite things to search for or look at on the Internet? I definitely go for funny videos, (follow me at briana.nicole03 on tik tok) recipes, how-tos and news!
Top : Lulu’s // Jeans : Lulu’s (Levis) // Bag : TopShop
I am all for a statement piece! The puffy sleeve trend definitely is one that makes a statement. I love the sleeves and the color together is such a great combo. I rounded up a few more pieces that have puffy sleeves that you may like as well!
What’s your favorite trend of the moment?
This is definitely a classier weekend look! I actually wore this one to the Melrose Trading Post, and while that isn’t exactly where I pictured wearing it, I just felt like it. Do you ever feel like that? Wearing something new even though it might be a little much for the occasion?
Of course, I also had to pair it with my new headband! I used to ALWAYS wear headbands when I was younger so this was a throwback for me! I love how cute and creative the headbands are now! I definitely want more, especially ones with pearls!
This is obviously one of those tops that you have to wear a cute bandeau (or bodysuit in my case) underneath. I love the sweet details and of course, I am a sucker for white under pink! I love a cute detail and when I saw this lace background I knew it would go perfectly!
Top : NastyGal
I am on the fence about if I would wear this to work, Fully clothed of course! But honestly the more I look at these pictures the more I am convinced that I should definitely do it! I always have a weird feeling wearing blazers for some reason. While I LOVE the way they look on me, I feel like I am playing dress-up since I always remember my momma wearing blazers to work. So to me, I am not at that point in my life quite yet, so I feel like I look extra. While this is probably all in my mind, I thought it would be a good idea to reflect on just when it is a good idea to be extra.
What is something you would feel like your ‘doing the most’ if you were to wear?
There are multiple times I think it is just a good idea to be extra
- Going out to a club for a fun night with friends
- Going on a first date (somewhere nice of course)
- On a birthday or special occasions like a graduation or other celebration
- When you really just feel like wearing something different!
My style ranges SO much! I love being able to try on a new look and not have to stick to one aesthetic. However, sometimes when I wear something that is more chic, or drastic, or dresses up, I do get more stares or more compliments or whatever it may be. While it doesn’t bother me, I do feel a bit weird because I always want my outfits to kind of be on the same level. This just isn’t possible though when your style ranges so much!
Let’s talk about this look. I was gifted this super chic set from Showpo! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a cool company, especially one that I have been shopping from for years!
I love the classic plaid because it looks great not only on my skin tone, but pretty much everyone’s as well! It even has shoulder pads which seriously made me think of my mom’s old blazers! The piece is thin but sturdy so I know I will be able to keep these pieces for a long time. The thing about a killer set like this is that you can wear it so many different ways! Together, separate, with jeans or with a tank, the possibilities are endless!

It’s time for another quick round-up of my favorites! Just another mini blog post full of random items and tidbits I do every once in a while. So let’s get started!
For an everyday natural look, I use my Glossier boy brow in black. I wear this to work EVERY DAY. Such an easy way to get darker, natural looking eyebrows that stay in place. If you want a few more beauty product recommendations, check out my wishlist – beauty tab!

My mom got me a blender so I am excited to start making smoothies in the morning for breakfast! What’s your favorite recipe?
How killer is this jumpsuit from Beginning Boutique? I’m thinking about buying for ACL!

If you have been keeping up with my Instagram, you have probably seen my posts with this sweater from Wooden Ships! This pink star sweater is apart of their Fourth of July collection and I was excited to do a collaboration with this brand because of how soft and oversized their sweaters are (perfect for the beach) and because they are not fast fashion.
I have been to a few panels now where the speakers talk about fast fashion. While I am still learning and having a hard time straying away from this, I think it is a good discussion to be had and a movement in the right direction. Wooden ships believe in “lean production” which is a no waste approach. Ever knit is made to order and has a fast turn around time. Not only is this a breathable, comfy and adorable sweater, but it represents a brand with a purpose.
Besides not just being apart of ‘fast fashion’, Wooden Ships also prides itself on giving back to numerous environmental programs, providing ethical production, and reducing their carbon footprint at their offices in Bali. They also use simple packaging with eco-friendly oxo-degradable plastic bags to minimize plastic use. (Did you know 30% of all garbage is packing waste?!)
So not only are you getting a sweet sweater, but also supporting a great business and a greater good.
So on to the sweater itself. When I decided to do the collab I decided that it would be best to shoot it at the beach since this is probably where I am going to spend my fourth of July. I opted out of the ‘red, white and blue’ theme this year as I think it’s overdone to death (especially by me) and went with a more realistic look. Plus this pink really complimented my feed so it was a win-win!
The best way to describe the knit is oversized and slouchy as a perfect loungewear top or cover up. Also, it is very thin and breathable but perfect for a cool beach day! Like I said, truly the best beach sweater!
And did I mention all sweaters ship free? What is your favorite part when you buy an online item?
Sweater : mini stars shirt tails v-neck cotton
I wanted to dedicate this post to those special one pieces you have hanging in your closet. You know, the ones that get you fully undressed when you have to use the bathroom (unless they have the buttons on the bottom in which case you feel like a 5-month-old). Yes, the bodysuit. There are also good parts to this clothing piece! The ease of slipping one on and adding a simple pair of jeans and sneaks like how I styled them. When your outfit looks put together you’re halfway there, amiright?!
I purchased this bright one-piece from Zara, and I loved how soft it was I actually bought two! The bright colors are perfect for Summer and they were only $20!
Bodysuits come in all shapes and sizes. From off the shoulders to turtle neck tanks, they also flatter all shapes and sizes! Since they give the illusion of being tucked into your bottom clothing piece, that can help cinch in your waist and really show off your figure. Getting the right size is, of course, crucial because you do not want them too tight (or it will be up your you-know-what) and if it is too big you can be left with too much extra fabric. I wanted to share a few others that are also relatively inexpensive so that you could go purchase them as well.
I actually wore this one piece as a swimsuit since the color is so bright and the material is so similar! There are no bottom buttons or anything that signal that the one piece wasn’t for the beach so I went for it!

I was on Pinterest looking for outfit ideas to add to the blog when I stumbled upon this look on Kendall Jenner. I instantly loved it and I thought it was simple enough to try! Usually, when I like an outfit on someone I see I tear apart the pieces of the outfit. Is it the top that I like? Is it the way that it fits them? Or is the way their shirt is half tucked and their pants show off their waist? Whatever the aspect may be, I try to imitate it and see if I can get the same effect or find the same looking piece. Another thing about me is I usually always tell girls when I love their outfit and compliment them. It’s all about building each other up, amiright?!
So I did this look almost to a T, but I could not find an exact top. I did, however, have this plunging long sleeve from Reformation that I loved and the only real difference besides the added criss-cross on the front is the choker and the loose sleeves. I added the double belt buckle for extra oomph and to add to the gold effect of the chain on my bag. This is such a chic weekend look. I have gotten into the habit of making sure I wear the outfits that I shoot either to work or during the weekend. This one I believe I am going to wear to one of the next events I attend.
There is just something to say about a chic all-black look! I have gotten into wear black a lot more and I now realize why so many people have noir colored closets. Besides the easily put together look it often gives, it is so flattering since black is so slimming. It really comes down to the fabric and how you pair a black piece with another.
These boots are from TopShop and let me just say I was sooooo sad they are closing their US stores! While they will still be sold in Nordstrom, there will be a big gaping hole in my heart that only their store at the Grove can fill. Okay, now I’m being dramatic. Anyway, the shoes were half off and were to die for! I just couldn’t pass them up!

This is something that I really struggle with in some areas, and really shine in some. When it comes to dealing with life changes, like leaving college and ending relationships, I have a really hard time. I think I have a hard time when I am forced out of my comfort zone rather than when I choose to leave it. But that is just an everyone thing. I think I usually need to just build up my mentality to change things first. Something to work on for the things I can’t change…food for thought.
What I really wanted to talk about was the part that I shine in, because maybe someone reading may have a harder time with that part and need the little encouragement it takes to push through with some of the small stuff. Being mostly alone in Los Angeles has taught me independence. I do not really have anyone to rely on and that’s okay because not only did I choose this, but I am lucky enough to have support back home. That being said I think it is hard for some people to 1. live alone in a new city and 2. leave the apartment and go to events and things like that alone. I know a few girls that have expressed this to me and I wanted to leave some tips.
A great brand once said, “Just Do It.” Sometimes you just have to psych yourself out and force yourself. Honestly, I picture it like taking a bath as a little kid. You do not want to go to a new event or meet up with a bumble bff match, but when you’re there you’re happy you went. Even if it wasn’t super perfect, you accomplished going!
Start small. I am outgoing and very talkative so I start off by giving a girl I think looks nice a compliment. Then I ask where they are from or why they are there. If they are meeting with someone I tell them how I am there alone. Get a feel for the conversation and above all, do not be afraid to just hang out alone! We’re old enough that no one should judge you anymore!
Also stepping out of your fashion comfort zone is a must! Once you got your style nailed down you definitely need to be able to play dress up once in a while! This tee was a little out of my regular buys but I thought it looked cool. I decided my style is comprised of pieces I like and that is basically what unites them all!
