I polled my Instagram followers via Insta Stories about if they wanted a review of the Youth to the People Superclay Purify + Clear Power Mask and it was a unanimous ‘yes’. So as promised, I tried out the 2021 New Beauty Award winner which deep cleans, evens skintone and absorbs excess oil. Let me start off by saying that I loveeee Youth to the People and the products work well for me. I am a huge fan of the Super Food Cleanser which I use daily and the Yerba Mate Resurfacing Facial, Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream, and the Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Serum are always constantly being refilled. I also wanted to mention that I have pretty clear skin. I do get a blemish here and there and of course a few bumps and discoloration, but other than that nothing to serious.
I was so excited to receive the new mask because I had never tried this one before! It came with a spatula like applicator which was double ended and had a brush-like rubber exfoliator on the other end. Let me tell you this + the packaging made this all the more luxurious. YTTP just knows how to do beauty packaging with all of the pop-ups and how amazing they make the product information!
I also was super excited because I was able to get a refill of the Super Food Cleanser which I can’t live without! So on to the review. The product is supposed to be used 1-3 times a week so naturally I tried it twice this week. I really was going to shoot for three times but to be honest I got lazy. After 10 minutes, then you wash it off and apply moisturizer. I loved applying this with the applicator and it felt so luxurious I probably took way too long just because I was having fun. (I am a major face mask girl). I loved the texture and feel and the blue color was not in the least bit off putting.. I actually like fun colors especially when the products work.
I really do believe I saw a difference and I still can honestly say I have no critiques for the YTTP products I have used. I really did feel like my skin was left clean but not striped of too much oil and my face felt soft and refreshed. I would definitely recommend to someone wanting to try a new face mask as well as the other YTTP products mentioned above.
