Lulu’s Pop-up + Going out alone

I was so lucky to have been invited to the Lulu’s pop-up before it opened to view the collections! I had so much fun and saw so many LA bloggers that I follow on Instagram. What I loved most was that Lulu’s really did bring together the LA influencer community because I saw girls that had millions of followers with girls that had even less than I do.

It was a fun night overall, and we were all able to pick one free item, share a drink and light bites, and mingle. I really enjoyed seeing all of my friends and I wish more events were inclusive like this one.

One thing I definitely wanted to touch on as proposed by my friend Lola, was going to events alone. I think I did touch on this one a bit in a previous post, but really having the courage to go to these things alone is a big thing and I didn’t realize that. I guess it isn’t a big deal to me because I am basically alone out here in LA. I don’t have people to hold my hand and all of my friends I made out here.

Now I do want to say I did not just come out here to LA alone. I sublet with one of my sorority sisters so it was both of us and I got closer to the girls that we lived with. My sorority sister had to go back to Texas for school and my sublet ended so I did end up being pretty alone, but it was a transition still.

I think it is something that everyone should do though. Go have dinner out alone and go to the movies alone. It really is empowering when you get comfortable. I was told last night that I was BRAVE for going to the event alone. I thought to myself, actually, I just did not want to be stuck with just one person the whole night!

Moral of the story, go to things alone. Meet people. Step out of your comfort zone. Do the things that a basic things that grow you as a person. Thank me later! *winky face*
