From Work to Weekend

Every time I’ve been shopping recently I have been wanting to buy pieces that answer yes to three questions; Can I wear this to work? Can I wear this for a blog post? Will I wear it after I have posted it on the blog? If it hits at least two of those questions then I am happy, and if it only hits one, I really have to think about it. All three and it’s a winner! That’s how I am with this outfit!

I know I can pair a tee with just about anything! Layer it under a blazer and its work-ready, here it is in the blog post, and its a great weekend tee for hopping around the Rosebowl flea market! Same goes for this skirt. You cannot go wrong with a simple satin piece. This color is a perfect transition piece for fall/winter.

What are the questions you ask yourself before buying a new outfit?

These two pieces are actually from Showpo. I have always loved shopping here for years, and now that I have the need for a more work/casual attire, I still am able to shop here especially with the trendy blazers and basics they have!

Anyone else a sucker for the trendy pieces like this? Trendy is always a hit or miss for me, and I am all about the suit trend. This look, however, is more up my alley for work. Easy, comfy, and I don’t feel like I am trying to hard with a blazer. Luckily I work in a PR showroom so I am able to be more lenient on what I wear. If not I would definitely throw on a jacket and some pointy kitten heels to make this more business casual.
