I was so lucky to have been able to attend the Teen Vogue Summit this weekend and let me tell you it was amazing! While there were a few critiques that I heard, I would still give it Five stars and attend next year.
A few of the critiques included adding better signage and getting information out to the mass of people in a more effective manner. However, this was not really much of an issue for me. I also would say that numerous girls commented that they were disappointed that they were not able to attend everything that they wanted due to overlap. While I do agree that this sucks, I know that this is a common tactic for conferences to split up the crowds.
I did not get to attend Day One but I hear it was AMAZING!
As for Day Two, I had a green pass which meant that I was only able to see limited shows. I did not know this or I would have thought about getting a different pass. We were able to have our own workshops which I was still happy about! What I was not excited about was sitting in a room watching the panels on screen when it was overfilled. I wish that they would have let us know that sooner. I would never want to knock Teen Vogue though because I was so lucky to have even attended and I learned SO MUCH and would do it all over again of course!
There were such amazing partnerships and topics at the summit from Feminism, women’s empowerment, transgender acceptance, environmental/sustainability and more. It truly was an amazing experience and their line up included Zara Larsson, Busy Phillips, Demi Lovato, Miranda Cosgrove, Aimee Song, and so much more!
Day Three was self-care day and let me tell you I felt the self-care! Brunch was amazing from healthy Acai bowls (add that peanut butter girl! I learned that at the summit!) to yogurt and breakfast burritos. Before brunch was a quick work out with Katrina from Tone It Up! She was so inspiring and positive I loved it! I also was able to get a facial and my hair done. There were other services as well such as manicures and massages.
Guys, I can go on and on but to sum it up, it was such an amazing experience I cannot wait for next year!
