When to be EXTRA

I am on the fence about if I would wear this to work, Fully clothed of course! But honestly the more I look at these pictures the more I am convinced that I should definitely do it! I always have a weird feeling wearing blazers for some reason. While I LOVE the way they look on me, I feel like I am playing dress-up since I always remember my momma wearing blazers to work. So to me, I am not at that point in my life quite yet, so I feel like I look extra. While this is probably all in my mind, I thought it would be a good idea to reflect on just when it is a good idea to be extra.

What is something you would feel like your ‘doing the most’ if you were to wear?

There are multiple times I think it is just a good idea to be extra

Going out to a club for a fun night with friends
Going on a first date (somewhere nice of course)
On a birthday or special occasions like a graduation or other celebration
When you really just feel like wearing something different!

My style ranges SO much! I love being able to try on a new look and not have to stick to one aesthetic. However, sometimes when I wear something that is more chic, or drastic, or dresses up, I do get more stares or more compliments or whatever it may be. While it doesn’t bother me, I do feel a bit weird because I always want my outfits to kind of be on the same level. This just isn’t possible though when your style ranges so much!

I love the classic plaid because it looks great not only on my skin tone, but pretty much everyone’s as well! It even has shoulder pads which seriously made me think of my mom’s old blazers! The piece is thin but sturdy so I know I will be able to keep these pieces for a long time. The thing about a killer set like this is that you can wear it so many different ways! Together, separate, with jeans or with a tank, the possibilities are endless!
