Coffee Talk : Spring Style

I always get excited for the upcoming season at the end of the current one. It’s a cycle being excited to wear different clothes and then getting bored of them and waiting to transition your style. Also, I hate that small window between trends that happens every once in a while. I was shopping for a new piece to shoot this past weekend and I SWEAR I went to at least 10 stores both online and in-store and I could find nothing that spoke to me! So I am thinking that 1. I could definitely be a trend follower (which I admit I am) and 2. I am not the kind of person that just seeks trends but I seek unique pieces. There have been several pieces that I really love and wanted to shoot but they were just too much! I do not want to spend $400-500 on a piece that I will wear a few times but I want it just to shoot. (Jeans and staple pieces are a different story and you have to splurge sometimes tbh) And besides that my readers do not seem to be huge spenders. I feel they are like me and sometimes you buy the piece because you fall in love with it! Buying a piece to shoot once is different than buying a piece I really like and will wear again.

So, here is my “hoping for the California sun to come back out and stay out” outfit preparing for Spring!

A few pieces I cannot wait to see this season :

Skirts : A no brainer but Midi, flowy, and bright I love them all! I want to not just wear the regular mini skirt but something with fun details that can be paired with a sweater or a tank.

Statement pieces : As I said in a previous post, I think bold pieces are going to be a trend and filter down from the designers like Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood. And trust me I am here for it! After that H&M x Moschino Collab I believe anything is possible!

Pastel Neutral pieces : I love a good pastel pink, light green and baby blue! I can already picture shots in fields with bright colors in my hair, in the air and black boots on my feet!
