What is your favorite kind of style? Chic? 90’s? Mine has been more boho recently! I’ve been getting more into more of a western-y, fun look more and more. I have been venturing out of my comfort zone and have been wearing pieces that I think are different and not something that you would just wear for a day at the mall. When I find a piece I really like I usually describe the piece as “fun”. This can be anywhere from a chic pointy-toed see-through heel to an embroidered Dior bag.
I’ve gotten a lot of my style inspiration from Instabloggers like Anna Grace Newell and Tezza. While I am still not over my girly chic style, I love being able to find new looks to pull off. Plus my dad called me a hippie a few months ago and I realized that since my family now things I just juice and wear bell bottoms I might as well embrace the boho/hippie vibes and go with it! Peaceeee Mannnn!
Every piece of this outfit is essential! Let’s break it down real quick.
This hat is the epicenter of this outfit! It matches perfectly with the light pink shoes and the sheer pink long sleeve. The yellow of the dress adds a pop of color and the jewels are so small and simple they add to the mix of texture with the tiny polka dots on the sheer top. This outfit is like a chocolate chip cookie, the dough and the chocolate are pretty good by themselves, but amazing when they are together!
I love mixing prints that just go! I am predicting that trendy, fun pieces are going to seep more into people’s everyday lives since I recently visited Rodeo Drive and so many of the stores had eclectic pieces! I honestly cannot wait to be walking down the street in this kind of outfit! I would love to do a blog post on the cool street style I see other people wear here in LA.
Would you like to see a post like that?
A lot of the time I actually just put outfits together in my head and hope for the best. Usually, they do not look ANYTHING like I imagine. But then again that is because not every sweater, jean or skirt have the same silhouette or hit at the correct length or have the same material thickness. (Ugh how I wish I could sew.)
This look I tried on for the first time New Year’s Eve. While I wanted to wear my revolve dress, I figured going out to bars in a college town was not the time to tempt fate with my nice dress and I felt like I would stick out like a sore thumb in something I was not totally 100% satisfied with. I ended up wearing this dress… which I wore on Christmas also so I am a major holiday outfit repeater! But when I tried it on with this sheer long sleeve underneath I was horrified! I had the wrong bra, my hair was up and was not getting the right vibes! BUT I ended up shooting with it after all mostly because of the hat and it worked out well! Some random drunk girl even said that she loved my dress and I looked like Pocahontas!!
