StayCations

I know.. It’s been a while! A lot has happened since my last blog post! But today we are going to explore some gems from LA! I’ve discovered a ton of new spaces and places and I’m writing a few down below for the person Los Angles staycation!

Covid is still a big consideration when it comes to making travel plans, which is why I wanted to give a few staycation options! But if you are wondering about the current status of a few of your favorite destinations for a real vacation, check out these destination favorites rounded up by Great Value Vacations.

Eats

Elephante – You cannot go wrong with the whipped eggplant and the vibes from the Santa Monica Gem!

Catch – We love a sharable meal with great atmosphere and a possible celebrity siting! Reservations are a musttttt.

Bottega Louie – If you want good food and a sweet treat – Bottega is a great option in West Hollywood

To Do

Thrifting – Wasteland, Crossroads, and Buffalo Exchange are all a must when it comes to finding designer pieces! Always take your time and try things on, but designer names can be found in every corner. Melrose has the best shopping when it comes to high end finds.

The Row – Eat, Sip, and Shop in the heart of DTLA at this aesthetically pleasing spot

See a show – there are always a ton of musical acts and comedy shows around the city. Smaller theatres like The Fonda are great ways to discover new music. There are also free comedy shows weekly at Mama’s Shelter.

Go on a studio Tour- I recently went on the warner brothers studio tour and it was such a fun experience to go behind the scenes at a few film favorites. Here’s an image of Ellen’s set which actually was smaller than I imagined!

Go for a short drive

There is a ton of adventures in the surrounding areas like San Diego, Catalina Island, Joshua Tree, and Big Bear. All short drives from LA and are perfect for an overnight weekend stay.
