Dressing up a casual look

Before I get into the post, I have been posting what I call second-hand celebrity news/gossip on my stories on Instagram. They have actually been doing pretty well and I wanted to see if that might be something that I can expand to my blog. Being here in Hollywood is, of course, a big thing! I definitely get my sources from other celebrity accounts hence why I call it second hand!

Is celebrity gossip/news something that you would like to read?

Okay, now on to the post! I actually stole this outfit idea from a friend on Instagram! I loved the outfit so I thought I’d dress it up a bit. Change up the shoes and add some sweatpants and you’re comfy as can be! What really changed it was the shoes!

That’s the whole point of the post, just one aspect of an outfit can be the selling point that takes you from comfy to HOT.

What seems like a lack of pants (I am definitely wearing shorts) and a sock bootie elongated my legs and because of the heel and angle, it makes me look a bit taller!

We had a rule in my sorority when we wore letters, that our of your hair, makeup and clothes, two of the three must be done. That rule applies with life! If you have two of the three, you can pretty much get away with murder…or at least get away looking cute during your weekend plans.

The cold weather is definitely creeping upon us and I am going to be in long cardigans, flannels and oversized teeshirts for a while! To dress it up add a statement necklace, some really cool shoes, a bright lip, or an oversized bag. I always say that making a focal point in your outfit really changes it. I am all for minimalism and neutrals, so when I do want to play up the look, I make one thing stand out so it is not overbearing!

Let me know what you would like to see on the blog and what kind of topics you would like to see! I really just have fun putting together outfits so I love the feedback!
