Holiday Looks

Merry Christmas Eve! This is seriously one of my favorite days of the year! It’s such a blessing to listen to Christmas music and spend time with extended family! There is no better feeling than Christmas morning, seeing presents and smiles and eating great food while hearing “Do You Hear What I Hear” on the radio. One thing I really wish I had been able to do this year is an angel tree. I really miss picking a child and shopping for them so they have great gifts. I did not find any this year and to be honest, I was short on money so it would have been hard. One way to give back though is to volunteer. There is always room for giving in whatever way possible, and that is one of the best ways to celebrate the season.

I also want to just give a reminder about how much of a celebration Christmas really is. I know everyone goes to church only on the important days, but you really get more out of it the more you go. It’s what you put into it. You can really feel like Christmas year-round when you remember the whole meaning behind it. It’s so powerful to think about someone loving you so much that they died to just so you can know them, no guarantee that you will love them back and may even hate them. But realizing how amazing the stories are because they are real can truly mean so much if you let them.

My go-to this year is a skirt and sweater combo! I love the way they compliment each other and since I can never tell with Texas weather, it is a great go-to! I love the mix of the patterns since the skirt has sequins and the marled texture tones it down a bit. I added these pink shoes for a pop of color and can I just say the blue in this couch brought it all together so nicely!

  1. I love that you mentioned volunteering! Even when we feel like we don’t have much to give, we can still give of it time! Thanks for sharing!
