Salvation Mountain

I am growing out of my phase of taking pictures at murals and in front of super touristy things, but I thought this would be an awesome place to stop for a shoot!

This was a super cool place and it inspired me to write a super important blog post. I do not talk about faith very much, but it is in my bio and I think I should definitely start! Going to a private Catholic school all my life really was such a huge blessing that am so lucky to have experienced. Now as I get older, I go to church every Sunday by myself here in LA because it feels like home to me.

It’s like that Carrie Underwood song, “here’s a map and here’s a bible, if you ever lose your way.” Life takes some crazy turns and some are chosen for us. As a control freak, the one thing I can count on to be constant is my faith. When everything gets crazy and difficult, that will always be there.

This place is such a beautiful reminder of God’s love. And for being basically in the middle of the California desert, such a great symbol of hope. God truly does show himself to those who are looking for it, there are coincidences which I totally believe in, but allowing yourself to recognize the feeling you get just knowing something isn’t a coincidence is so powerful. If you open your heart to it, it will come so easily.
