Summer Time Casual

One of my favorite parts of summer are the clothes. Shocker right? But seriously, I love getting dressed up, or mostly down if we’re being honest because of the hot weather. While the heat is not really my friend and I honestly hate getting sweaty or having to put my hair up, I love the idea of tanning by a pool or drinking a sweet, cold drink. Summer is the time for me to catch up on all the things I did not have time to do during the year; reading a book, going to church and seeing my friends are more fun since I have more time. For all of the activities I have to have a go-to summer look.

My summer look is simple : a tank or tee + denim shorts + sandals + fun accessories. I am a sucker for a white tee and denim and I say that a lot but it’s so true! I just think it looks great on everyone! Sandals are easy to slip on and I like to match them with my outfit. I usually keep it simple and easy and throw on pieces I know will “breathe”. I get super annoyed when I get sweaty too easily so I try to plan wisely.

 

Texas heat is seriously killer. Like cook an egg on the sidewalk killer. So I dress my outfit up with accessories. My main goal for an outfit is always the focal piece. Well since I cannot always wear a cute pair of jeans or a top with lots of ruffles I go for the accessories. This scarf is seriously my favorite! I love wearing it because of the bright colors and it makes my hair look super cute when I don’t have time to do it. Another way to dress it up are fun earrings! Fun earrings and plain pieces are a great combo!
