Let’s Talk Faith

My blog is a 90% fashion and about 10% lifestyle blog. I always try to feature the newest trends that I like and that my target audience will relate to. I try to touch on different topics and I really have been wanting to share a post about faith. I was lucky enough to have gone to private Catholic school up until college and that was a huge impact on me. Even today I miss having to go to theology class! While I forget to pray before I eat, I still feel like I have a good relationship with my faith and that’s something I would love to share every once in a while.

No matter what religion a person is, I believe that most religions ultimately believe in a similar higher power. As long as you are being encouraged to be a good person and love others, then the rules are not as important. I do however think that after that basic principle, the guidelines are very important and something to take seriously.

My favorite scripture passage is 1 Peter 3:3-4

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

I think it is my favorite because it keeps you grounded, especially since I have a blog that focuses so much on looks and styles!

No matter what you believe I pray that everyone tries to find the inner strength to do good. This world already has so much bad in it like illness and car accidents, we should not add to it. I realize that people do not know God for multiple reasons, but at least giving it a try is more than worth it. Going in with open arms and an open heart is hard but again, worth it. We cannot control very much in life, but we can control who we let walk with us.
