California Update + Outfit Details

I have come to realize that not many people know what I am doing up here in California since I moved back after the holidays. Everything is kinda rocky but that is due to me figuring out exactly what I want to do with my life. I know I want to try to pursue PR since that is what I majored in and I want to stretch out my time here in Los Angeles, but I also am not sure if I want to stay here for a long time. I think it really depends on if I find a job I really enjoy. I know work is work, but I do not see the point of working somewhere I do not love and being away from my friends and family for no reason. Yes, the opportunities are a bit better here in Los Angeles blog-wise, but I’m not sure if the pros outweigh the cons quite yet.

What I do know for sure is I will be staying here until the end of March. I have two internships right now that I really wanted because they are giving me experience in positions I have never had before and I am excited for the growth in their fields. The first one is at a PR showroom which is a totally different type of PR than what I have been doing at previous internships! I really like working with fashion and name brands so I definitely wanted hands-on experience with this. Also, I feel like I could not apply for a job at a PR showroom without experience and now I have that!

The second internship is with a high-end magazine! I was not too sure about this position at first but the more I heard about it the more interested I became. It was described to me as “reverse PR” where the agencies come to you and you reach out to them for their clients to be featured. Not only am I doing this but I also get to experience putting together the magazine and all of the segments that go with it! Such a cool experience to have! Okay on to the look! I have had this skirt now for a few months and have yet to style it! I finally figured I would keep it simple and a bit chic. I love playing around with my style and wearing pieces that are different and bold. This lace up skirt has the best details that are simple but stand out. Just my style! This is perfect for going out and wearing with a black bodysuit!
