La La Land

I recently went to my psychiatrist, yes I have a psychiatrist, and I told him how I moved to Los Angeles. He proceeded to call it ‘La La Land’ which I have of course heard before. I didn’t think much of it except for it was kind of a funny referral and that I should rewatch that movie.

While I had been in Texas I was scheduling meet-ups with other bloggers, found a few conventions to go to, and local events and then it hit me… this is the real reason LA is called La La Land. Yes because of the nickname, LA, but also because to me LA is where you can really live the American dream! It is so hard to be an actor/singer/producer/editor/fashion mogul but at least you have the chance to here! You have to work for it and you may not make it… but that tiny bit of hope that you may is worth it.

I met these awesome influencers in my first LA meet up! It was so fun and I didn’t know what to expect, but I learned so much from just one meeting!

So one of the opportunities that I have found here is photographer meetups! Okay, let me describe this to you! I “modeled” which means photographers and models meet up somewhere in the city and walk around and shoot. I knew no one but that was the fun part! Once one photographer takes your picture, 10 more come! It was a crazy experience and they are all on different photography levels, but here are a few of the pictures that they tagged me in! Totally worth going to if you’re in LA, such a great experience!

  4. It is so cool that you live somewhere where there are tons of meetups for bloggers! I think here in Seattle there are some, but definitely not as many as in LA!!!

  5. I would love to go to a meetup. It looks so fun! I would love to have a photo shoot. Hell, I just want to go to a city that “instagram” popular. Lol. I’ve learned my area’s hidden gems though.
